The Connection Paradigm

A podcast about love, dating and the human experience.

In this podcast, we explore the intersections of love and self-actualisation, dating and healing, as well as the threads that bind us together as a collective. We talk about the topics of personal growth, self-awareness, and accountability, and discover how these pillars shape not only our romantic relationships but also our connections with friends, family, and ourselves.

About The Hosts

Kathy and I are long-time friends with a shared passion for social impact, community and connection. We met many years ago while running social enterprises and have since worked together on multiple ventures that facilitate community and togetherness. This podcast is our latest project with the intent to ignite conversations about how we can solve the loneliness epidemic by forming deeper connections with ourselves and one another. ⇩

Why we started this podcast

When Kathy and I get together our conversations always hold a lot of depth. We know how to open up to one another. We are curious. We are passionate. And we are both driven by a desire to make an impact in the world.

Lately, our conversations have steered towards connection - specifically, human connection and the seeming lack thereof in an era when we tend to spend more time in front of screens than in real life. Things like social media and dating apps are replacing our in-person interactions and we are starting to see the negative impacts of this.

A 2022-2023 study found that one in four people in the world are experiencing loneliness. It is a strange phenomenon that in a world of eight billion people, we can feel lonely. We want to explore what could be causing this. And so, we decided to create this podcast as a way to bring to light our thoughts, insights and wisdom, as well as open up a wider discussion about dating, relationships, friendships, self-love and everything in between.
